The Hunters Hill Sportsperson of The Year Award recognises outstanding sporting achievements by an individual of any age.
Ms Alanna Fisher has already made an outstanding contribution to the sport of Futsal even though she is not yet 18 years old. She has been an outstanding role model for the other young people and the Futsal community at large.
She has consistently strived to achieve excellence and has been a fine representative of her school and country, always demonstrating exemplary sportsmanship and a keen awareness of her role as a leader.
Earlier last year Alanna was picked to play in the u16’s Girls Australian Futsal Team in Italy for three weeks, visiting Rome, Naples and Florence. She was also selected to play for the NSW u16s team in the Australian All Schools Futsal Championships.
Super-Advice are proud to continue to be a sponsor for Alanna and wish her all the best.
I’m very grateful for the opportunities and recognition I have received, especially being awarded Sportsperson of the Year in Hunters Hill Australia Day Award. I would like to thank everyone who’s helped me so far in particular; my parents and grandparents, teachers, coaches and team mates, Super-Advice, Ryde Sports Foundation and Hunters Hill Council for selecting me. I think its important we use the talents and opportunities we are given, to work to the best of our ability to recognise that we only get a few chances and most importantly, not to let people who think they are better set us back. This is important to me because I put in a lot of hard work and dedication, so I love being recognised for my sporting activities. I really appreciate everything that has been done to get where I am, and I’m committed to keep striving to be my best.
